In June 1994, an electric atmosphere swept across packed stadiums as the United States Men’s National Team stunned Colombia 2-1 at the Rose Bowl, their first World Cup match win in 44 years. The USA then advanced to the Round of 16, proving they could truly compete on the world stage. Now, for the first time in 32 years, these legends will reunite for a once-in-a-generation celebration to support the next generation of the beautiful game.

Hosted by America SCORES Bay Area, a proud SCORES affiliate since 2001, the Soccer Legacy Gala carries forward the powerful legacy of the 1994 World Cup, whose Legacy Fund named SCORES its first-ever grantee. What began then has since grown into one of the most successful grassroots programs born from that tournament.

GALA HIGHLIGHTS

  • Legends on the Field: Reunion of the 1994 U.S. Men’s World Cup Team, with appearances scheduled from Alexi Lalas, coaches Bora Milutinović, Timo Liekoski, Steve Sampson, and former U.S. Soccer President Alan Rothenberg. In total, 36 of the team’s 40 players, coaches, and staff are expected, making this one of the largest reunions in decades — a rare chance to celebrate the players, coaches, and leaders who changed American soccer forever.
