At America SCORES Bay Area, we believe every girl deserves the chance to play, lead, and shine. Girls in the Game opens the doors to free, high-quality soccer for girls in grades 1–8. That means no tryouts, no fees, no barriers.
We hire and mentor female coaches, form all-girls teams, and create safe, joyful spaces where girls can soar.

The challenge we’re solving
Girls from low-income communities face stacked barriers in sports programming — the cost of joining a team, safety concerns, limited school sports options, and stereotypes about who belongs in the game. And without visible role models, many girls never get the chance or leverage the courage to step onto the field.
Our Solution: Remove Every Barrier
We’re breaking down each roadblock — intentionally and completely.
$0 to play. Soccer is free for every girl.
Practices happen where girls already are — at their schools.
We hire and train women coaches so that girls can see themselves in leadership roles.
We build all-girls teams and leagues where girls feel safe, included, and supported.
We welcome families to build trust and connection.
And most importantly — we celebrate girls’ play, out loud and in community.
Growing the Movement
America SCORES leads programming at 180 school and community sites across 7 Bay Area districts, with weekly Game Days that bring families, cultures, and neighborhoods together.
OUR VISION -A region where every girl not only gets to play, but is seen, supported, and unstoppable on and off the field.
With your help, we’ll expand all-girls teams, train 35+ female coaches each season, and welcome thousands more poet-athletes onto the field.
