Manneh Ibra
Manneh Ibra | Program Coordinator Oakland
Manneh was born and raised in Ghana, though his heart is probably more in Senegal, where most of his family lives. He’s been deeply involved in soccer since childhood and was recruited to play for Ghana’s U12 National Team. He played competitive club soccer through his teenage years until joining a semi-pro team in Senegal at age 18.
Manneh came to the US in 2010, landing first in Marin County, where he immediately dove into the soccer scene working with the Dave Fromer soccer camp, playing with the Marin Soccer Club, and working for the San Francisco Vikings. When he got the chance to be a program coordinator for America SCORES in Oakland in May of 2018, he happily made the leap.
Manneh’s got a pretty sweet side hustle too. He sells arts and crafts from Ghana and Senegal at the Alameda Flea Market each weekend. He lives in Pinole with his family.
