Associate Athletics Director of Business Development at the University of California, Berkeley

Lindsey Jones grew up in South Bend, Indiana, where she learned through her parents’ example what it means to be deeply embedded in a community, not only through involvement in projects with visible impact, but also through enduring relationships. That perspective has shaped her career: building meaningful initiatives alongside people invested in lasting outcomes.

A lifelong athlete, Lindsey played soccer at the University of Notre Dame, competing in multiple national championship matches before going on to play professionally in the United States and Australia. When early women’s professional leagues folded, she pivoted from play to building solutions within sports and beyond.

Lindsey is the founder of Upward Roots, an Oakland-based youth empowerment nonprofit operating for more than fifteen years, dedicated to developing agency and leadership in young people through community-driven service. She later co-founded Goal Five, a women’s soccer apparel brand created to challenge the industry’s “shrink it and pink it” approach and better serve female athletes before its acquisition.

Most recently, Lindsey served as NIL General Manager at Stanford Athletics. In March 2026, she was named Associate Athletics Director of Business Development at the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on revenue generation, partnerships, and sustainable support for student-athletes. She joined the America SCORES Bay Area board in 2026.
