Jonathan Rojas
Interim Program Director for the San Francisco Crocker Region and Program Director for Hayward.
Jonathan Rojas is the Interim Program Director for SCORES’ San Francisco Crocker Region and Program Director for the Hayward Region at America SCORES Bay Area, a role he assumed in August 2025. In San Francisco, he currently oversees 18 school sites; in Hayward, he is leading 10 sites this fall, with another 10 slated to launch in the spring.
Jonathan first connected with SCORES through longtime coach and mentor Roberto Gil, who began coaching him at age five at the Crocker Amazon fields. Though not enrolled in a SCORES school himself, Jonathan grew alongside many teammates who were, and that early exposure cemented his relationship with the organization. Soccer became a grounding force throughout his youth growing up in the Tenderloin neighborhood, helping him navigate challenges at Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep and ultimately motivating him to pursue higher education, where he earned his degree from Notre Dame de Namur University, after starting at City College of San Francisco. He’s a proud first-generation graduate.
Jonathan joined SCORES professionally in 2021 as a coach for fourth and fifth graders in San Francisco before transitioning to working as a site coordinator, program manager, and now program director. His steady experience and leadership prepared him for his current director roles, where he now oversees staff and coaches, helps build school partnerships, and advances SCORES’ reach across the Bay Area.
