Antonio Cisneros

Program Director, West Contra Costa (Joined 2016)

Antonio Cisneros grew up in the Tenderloin and has the kind of insider’s knowledge about the neighborhood you only get growing up in a specific place. That understanding and affection for the Tenderloin informs his role with America SCORES.

A first-generation American, Antonio attended Bessie Carmichael Elementary, followed by De Marillac Academy and Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep. He earned both his BA at St. Mary’s and an MA in counseling. During that time, he worked as an intern in a community clinic servicing social security applicants from the very young to the very old, and quickly recognized that his sweet spot was working with kids and teens.

After earning his degrees, Antonio worked for SCORES as a coach for fourth and fifth graders at Redding Elementary School in San Francisco before leaving in 2020 to build a counseling program from the ground up at De La Salle Academy, a small Catholic school in Concord, CA.  In 2023, he returned to SCORES to launch the West Contra Costa program, where he now oversees 28 school sites serving over 1,000 students.

In his free time, Antonio loves to hike, bike, and do Muay Thai.
