Chief of Staff, Global Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging at LinkedIn

Born in New York City, Neil grew up in Scarsdale, NY before heading to Dartmouth to study psychology, theater, creative writing, and English literature. His path veered into technology as he earned a MA in the Social Science of the Internet from the University of Oxford in 2012.

Spending a year surrounded by brilliant students from around the world amid 12th-century architecture proved to be a transformative experience, hooking him on the rewards of seeking out new experiences in unfamiliar environments.

After working in market research in Boston, Neil joined LinkedIn in 2014, where he’s now Senior Program Manager in Research and Talent Development. In 2016, he jumped at the chance to work in Singapore, helping to expand LinkedIn’s research presence in the region. “It was there I discovered Spoken Word,” says Neil, who went from watching open mic nights to participating in Spoken Word competitions and writing a 90-minute one-man show.

Now living in San Francisco with his wife Surbhi, Neil is excited to work with SCORES. “I’d love to see us help bring poetry into the mainstream.”
