Director of Corporate and Community Engagement

Bay Area native Angela Bailey joined SCORES in 2006 as a volunteer soccer coach in East Oakland. She continued her service as an Americorps volunteer before moving into roles focused on strategic partnerships, philanthropic operations, and directing fundraising events. Today Angela thrives in her role leading corporate and community engagement, a position that draws on all of her experiences to date.

Angela earned a BA in economics from Humboldt State and an MBA from Sonoma State University. An unabashed explorer; she lived in China and Mexico while earning her BA, and led bike tours in Alaska during her summer breaks. Before joining SCORES, she worked for an International Student Exchange company, leading international job fairs to connect foreign college students with U.S. employment opportunities.

Although she still loves to travel, she spends most of her time with family — on the sidelines of her kids’ games, at her favorite hot yoga studio, or serving the soccer community through her role as the board president of the Golden Gate Women’s Soccer League.
